AirAsia X, D7 series flights at Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA)
Established in 2007, it is the long-haul, low-cost affiliate carrier of the AirAsia Group and currently flies to destinations in the Asia Pacific region. Operates from its hub in Kuala Lumpur.
The airline currently serves 18 destinations across Asia (Sapporo, Tokyo,
Osaka, Seoul, Busan, Taipei, Xian, Beijing, Hangzhou, Chengdu, Shanghai,
Colombo and Kathmandu), the airline also serves Australia (Sydney,
Melbourne, Perth, and Gold Coast) and the Middle East (Jeddah). All its
Kuala Lumpur departures and arrivals operate through
klia2.
AirAsia X operates a core fleet of 26 A330-300s, each with a seat
configuration of 12 Premium Flatbeds and 365 Economy seats. It has three
additional aircraft for non-scheduled lease and charter operations. The
airline has carried over 10 million guests since it commenced long-haul
service in 2007.
