Passengers travelling with Philippine Airlines are permitted to carry the following:

Carry-on Baggage

Each passenger is allowed one piece of carry-on baggage small enough to be placed in the overhead bin or under the passenger seat of the aircraft cabin with a maximum total dimension of 56cm x 36cm x 23cm (22in x 14in x 9in) and maximum weight of 7 kgs. (15 lbs).

A carry-on bag that exceeds the allowed weight or dimension shall be intercepted and charged an Excess Baggage Charge (EBC), if applicable.
In addition to the free carry-on baggage allowance, a passenger is allowed to carry on-board a maximum of two (2) of any the following items:

• a small handbag
• pocket book or purse
• an overcoat, wrap or blanket
• a small camera or binoculars
• laptop with case
• a reasonable amount of reading material
• duty free bag
• infant's food for consumption in flight
• pair of crutches and/or braces, walking stick and other prosthetic device for the passenger's use provided that the passenger is dependent upon them

These items must not exceed maximum dimension (length+width+height) of 45 in. (115 cm) and must be able to fit under the seat in front of you. The total permitted weight for these two (2) pieces must not exceed 7kgs.

Note: Multiple items that are strapped, wrapped or tied together will not be counted as one (1) piece of cabin item.

Checked Baggage Allowance

Free Baggage Allowance (FBA) is the amount of check-in baggage Philippine Airlines (PAL) will allow per passenger to bring as indicated in the passenger ticket.

The total weight of the check-in baggage should follow the Free Baggage Allowance of the service class per route. A single piece of checked baggage should weigh no more than 32kg (70lbs). Any baggage exceeding the 32kg weight limit must be repacked or will not be accepted for carriage.

Check-in baggage that exceeds the allowed dimension and maximum weight shall be treated as oversized or overweight and an Excess Baggage Charge (EBC) shall be collected.

Extra Baggage

Excess baggage fees apply if your checked baggage exceeds the purchased allowance in weight, number of pieces, or dimensions.

Passengers are strongly advised to pre-purchase additional baggage allowance online, as this is more economical than paying at the airport, where higher rates apply.
