Passengers travelling with Batik Air Malaysia are permitted to carry the following:

Carry-on Baggage

Passengers are generally allowed to bring hand baggage on board as follows:

• Economy Class: 1 cabin bag up to 7 kg (56 × 36 × 23 cm max) plus one personal item (e.g., laptop bag, handbag) — combined weight usually included in the 7 kg limit.

• Business Class: Cabin allowance up to 10 kg (same dimension limits) plus one personal item.

Checked Baggage Allowance

Note: Checked baggage allowance depends on your fare type and route. If you purchase a fare with no included checked baggage (e.g., Super Saver), you may need to buy baggage separately.

Free Checked Baggage by Fare

International Flights (e.g., KLIA and other long-haul/ASEAN routes):

Business Class: ~30 kg free checked baggage

Economy Flexi: ~20–30 kg (varies by route and fare type)

Economy Value: ~20 kg (on most international sectors)

Super Saver: 0 kg (no free checked baggage included)

Domestic & ASEAN Routes:

Business / Flexi: higher allowances (often 20–40 kg)

Economy / Value: 10–20 kg

Super Saver: no free checked baggage included

Maximum weight per individual piece of checked baggage is generally 32 kg. To avoid extra charges for excess baggage, please make sure to fit your allowed weight into your allowed number of pieces. Any extra weight or number of pieces will be subject to additional fees, provided there is space in the hold for your excess baggage.

Infant Baggage

Infants (without a paid seat) are granted 10 kg free checked baggage (except on certain lowest-fare classes).

Pre-Purchase & Excess Baggage

Additional checked baggage allowance can usually be pre-purchased online during booking or through “Manage Booking,” often at lower rates than paying at the airport.

If you exceed your allowance at the airport, excess baggage fees will apply, typically charged per kilogram based on the route and fare class.
