Lion Air Cancellation and Refund Policy
KLIA.Info » Airlines at KLIA » Lion Air » Cancellation and Refund Policy
Passengers may cancel their Lion Air ticket, but refund eligibility and fees
depend on the fare type and how far in advance the cancellation is made.
Non‑refundable fares: Do not qualify for a refund, though unused taxes/fees may
be refunded in some cases.
Refundable fares: Eligible for a refund after cancellation, but cancellation
fees may apply.
How to cancel: Tickets can be canceled via the Lion Air website, mobile app,
ticket office, or travel agent where purchased.
Refund processing: Approved refunds are processed according to the original form
of payment; timing varies by payment method and bank.
No‑show: If a passenger fails to cancel before the flight’s departure
(“no‑show”), refunds may be forfeited.
Baggage Fees
If the airline cancels the flight:
Prepaid baggage fees will be refunded automatically by Lion Air, or the
airline may allow the credit to be applied to your new booking. You may also
request a full refund through Lion Air’s website or by contacting customer service.
If you cancel the flight:
Prepaid baggage fees are non-refundable unless you purchased a
refundable fare (which is uncommon on Lion Air) or the airline’s conditions
specifically allow refunds. In most cases, the baggage fee is forfeited when the
passenger cancels the booking.
