The Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) is using a Two-Tier Taxi Services system, involving both limousines provided by taxi concessionaire Airport Limo and city metered taxis to pick up passengers at the KLIA, to reduce waiting time for passengers during peak periods. Available at Level 1 and Level 3 of the Main Terminal Building (MTB), the metered taxis offer an alternative for travellers to get around.

Passengers have the options to purchase a coupon and using the airport limo or a city metered taxi, for which fare can be paid based on the running meter.

Airport Taxi & Limo Services

Travellers can choose to chartered an Airport Taxi & Limo Services offered by Airport Limo from KLIA to dedicated areas in Kuala Lumpur and other parts of Klang Valley.

The fares is based on zone and using coupon system which can be purchase from Airport Limo counters at:

►International Arrival Hall (just after Customs, before the public arrival area)
►Domestic Arrival Hall (public area after Domestic Baggage Clearance)
►Domestic Baggage Reclaim, Arrival Level

Metered Taxi Services

Available at Level 1 and Level 3 of the Main Terminal Building (MTB), the Metered Taxis offer an alternative for travellers to get around.

Passengers have to purchase RM2.00 coupon prior to boarding on these taxis. Fares are then charged according to the running meters.

Budget Taxi Fares

• Base fare: ~ RM3.00 for first km / first few minutes.
• Thereafter: ~ RM1.25 per km.
• Waiting time: ~ RM0.25 per 36 seconds (if the cab waits/stops during ride).
• 50% surcharge from 12:00 am – 6:00 am

Executive Taxi Fares

• RM6.00 for first 1 KM or first 2 minutes
• RM0.20 for each consequent 150 metres or consequent 45 seconds
• 50% surcharge from 12:00 am – 6:00 am

The RM2.00 coupon paid will provide passengers with a ticket which will also serve as proof of travel from KLIA.

Remarks: Prices mentioned may be adjusted periodically in accordance with operational or market conditions.
