The airport operates four passenger terminals serving different airlines and
routes. Terminal 1 mainly handles international flights, Terminal 2 is used
primarily by Philippine Airlines and PAL Express, Terminal 3 accommodates both
international and domestic services from multiple carriers, and Terminal 4
serves domestic flights.
Across the terminals, facilities include
check-in counters, self-service kiosks, immigration and customs services,
baggage claim areas, airport lounges, retail shops, and duty-free outlets.
Dining options range from cafés and fast-food outlets to full-service
restaurants offering Filipino and international cuisine. Free Wi-Fi is
available, along with ATMs, currency exchange services, and passenger assistance
desks.
Airlines
Ninoy Aquino International Airport is served by a mix of full-service and low-cost carriers, including Philippine Airlines, Cebu Pacific, Singapore Airlines, Cathay Pacific, and Emirates. Destinations include regional hubs such as Singapore, Hong Kong, Bangkok, Tokyo, and Seoul, as well as long-haul routes to the Middle East and Oceania.
Transportation
Travelers can reach Manila and surrounding cities via metered and coupon
taxis, ride-hailing services such as Grab, and hotel or private transfers.
Public transportation options include city buses, point-to-point (P2P) bus
services, and jeepneys serving nearby areas, although travel times can vary
significantly due to traffic conditions. Inter-terminal shuttle services operate
within the airport complex.
Ninoy Aquino International Airport is
undergoing ongoing rehabilitation and modernization under a new private
operator, aimed at improving terminal facilities, passenger flow, and overall
service quality. It remains the Philippines’ most important aviation hub for
both international and domestic connectivity.
