Lombok International Airport

Lombok International Airport (LOP) is the main international gateway serving Lombok Island and the wider West Nusa Tenggara region of Indonesia. It is located in Praya, Central Lombok Regency, approximately 40 km southeast of Mataram, the provincial capital.

Opened in 2011 to replace the former Selaparang Airport, Lombok International Airport supports both domestic and international travel and plays a key role in connecting Lombok’s tourism destinations, including Mandalika, with major cities in Indonesia and selected international markets.

Lombok International Airport operates a single modern passenger terminal that handles both domestic and international arrivals and departures. The terminal is designed to accommodate growing passenger traffic while providing a comfortable travel experience. Facilities include check-in counters, immigration and customs services, baggage claim areas, airline lounges, retail outlets, and duty-free shops for international passengers.

A variety of food and beverage options are available, ranging from cafés and fast-food outlets to restaurants offering local Indonesian cuisine. Free Wi-Fi is accessible throughout the terminal, and additional services include ATMs, currency exchange counters, prayer rooms, medical assistance, and passenger information desks.

Airlines

A range of domestic and international airlines operate at Lombok International Airport. Major Indonesian carriers such as Garuda Indonesia, Lion Air, Batik Air, Citilink, and Super Air Jet provide frequent domestic connections to cities including Jakarta, Surabaya, Bali, and Yogyakarta. International services link Lombok with regional destinations, particularly in Southeast Asia, depending on season and demand, supporting the island’s tourism industry and international accessibility.

Transportation

Travelers can reach Mataram, Senggigi, Mandalika, and other parts of Lombok via taxis, ride-hailing services, and private transfers available at the airport. Airport taxis and app-based transport services operate from designated pick-up points outside the terminal. Shuttle buses and travel vans connect the airport with major tourist areas, while car rental services are available for passengers who prefer independent travel around the island.

Lombok International Airport continues to enhance its infrastructure and services to support increasing passenger volumes and the development of Lombok as a major tourism and events destination. It remains an essential hub for both domestic and international connectivity in West Nusa Tenggara.
