Jalan Imbi
Jalan Imbi, major road in the
city center of Kuala Lumpur, connecting Jalan Bukit Bintang in the Northeast
end and junction of Jalan Pudu / Jalan Hang Tuah in the Southwest end.
It encompasses
Jalan Bukit Bintang and its immediate surrounding of Jalan Imbi. Bukit Bintang (stylized
as Bintang Walk or Starhill) is the name of the shopping and entertainment
district of Kuala Lumpur.
The most significant iconic
landmark in Jalan Imbi is 'Berjaya Times Square', most famous shopping
arcade among the local and tourists.
You will find more than 1,000
retail shops, 1,200 luxury service suites, 65 food outlets to suit many
tastes and entertainment attractions such as Asia's largest indoor theme
park, Berjaya Times Square Theme Park and Malaysia's first-ever GSC MAXX
(formerly IMAX) 2D & 3D theatre which is located on the 10th Floor.
The Kuala Lumpur Monorail's
Imbi
station is linked to the building by a footbridge.
Plaza Imbi situated here, it had the reputation of being the most popular
complex that sold IT merchandise in Kuala Lumpur for quite a long time. Now
that Low Yat Plaza has come onto the scene, it seems that bleakness has once
again settled around the older shopping mall.
City folks have a passion for food and they are lucky to have a wide range
to indulge in. The hawker stalls on Jalan Imbi is one of the places in the
city which is renowned for their hawker food. Apart from the up-market
restaurants that line the street, Jalan Imbi hawkers located in front of the
Honda showroom and opposite the Bintang Palace nightclub are one of the
oldest and offer some of the best dishes in the city.
Jalan Imbi can be reach easily by
KLIA Taxi for the fare of RM74.30 (budget taxi) and RM102.10 / RM199.80 for
premier and family limo.
