Jalan Dewan Bahasa Jalan Dewan Bahasa Jalan Dewan Bahasa, formerly known as Jalan Lapangan Terbang Lama, is named after the Dewan Bahasa dan Pustaka (Malay for The Institute of Language and Literature, DBP) moved to its own building here.

DBP is the government body responsible for coordinating the use of the Malay language in Malaysia and Brunei. Before renamed to Jalan Lapangan Terbang Lama, the road previously also known as Bellamy Road.


There are few graveyard situated along the road including the 'Gong Dong Yi San' Chinese cemetery, Christian graveyard and Japanese graveyard.

Jalan Dewan Bahasa is one of main road that connects Kuala Lumpur city center to the southern part of the city which is intersects with Jalan Sungai Besi.
