Travelling with an electric vehicle (EV) to Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA)? EV charging facilities are available at KLIA Terminal 1, allowing drivers to conveniently recharge their vehicles while travelling or waiting for arriving passengers.

KLIA Block A Car Park

The main EV charging facility at KLIA Terminal 1 is located at Block A Car Park, Level 2, near Pillar A-2-5, close to the connector leading to Block B.

The charging area is equipped with 22 kW AC chargers, suitable for most plug-in hybrid and battery electric vehicles. These chargers are operated through charging networks such as chargEV, and users can activate charging using the respective mobile application.

Please note that normal airport parking charges apply in addition to the EV charging fee. Charging tariffs vary depending on the operator, with rates around RM2.00 per 10 minutes or RM1.00 per kWh, depending on the charging network selected.

PETRONAS Station KLIA 1

For drivers requiring faster charging, a 45 kW DC fast charger (CCS2) is available at the PETRONAS Station KLIA 1, located behind the McDonald's Drive-Thru.

The charger supports the CCS2 standard and can be activated using either the Setel or JomCharge mobile application. Charging is priced at approximately RM1.60 per kWh, making it a convenient option for topping up your battery before or after your journey.
