Wang Burma Cave

The most popular cave in Perlis is Wang Burma Cave (Malays: Gua Wang Burma),
a cave system that has become the main attraction of the Wang Kelian State Park
within the Perlis State Park.
Known for its streams and exotic species of insects and fungi, the cave system
is divided into two main caves: The less challenging and more scenic one is Wang
Burma 1, with its unique rock formations comprising of stalactites, stalagmites
and columns, and Wang Burma 2, which is physically and mentally challenging with
its dark hooks and turns, of narrow passages and muddy tunnels, you will need to
crawl or squeeze your way through to reach the amazing water-worn rock
formations in the inner part of the cave.

Getting There
Take the North-South Expressway to Alor Setar Utara exit, and follow through
Kangar. Then continue Route 7 towards Padang Besar. You will pass Timah-Tasoh on
your left and take a left turning to Gua Kelam. Head towards Kaki Bukit town.
From there take Route R15 and head towards Kampung Wan Kelian. You will see the
entrance of the Park Visitor Center on your right. All visitors to the park must
register at the Park Visitor Centre. Those who wish to visit the Wang Burma Cave
and Gunung Perlis can hire their guides at the centre.
