KLIA.Info » Airlines at KLIA » Turkish Airlines » Baggage AllowancePassengers travelling with Turkish Airlines are permitted to carry the following:
Carry-on Baggage
Passengers are allowed to bring one piece of carry-on baggage on board, subject
to the following limits:
• Maximum weight: 8 kg
• Maximum dimensions: 55 × 40 × 23 cm
Additional personal item: One small personal item (such as a handbag, laptop
bag, or baby bag) may also be carried, provided it fits under the seat in front
of you.
Carry-on allowances may vary depending on aircraft type, cabin class, and route.
Checked Baggage Allowance
Checked baggage allowance depends on the route, fare type, and cabin class,
and is determined by either the piece concept or the weight concept.
• Economy Class: 1 - 2 pieces or 20 - 30 kg total
• Business Class: 2 pieces or up to 40 kg total
• Maximum weight per piece: 23 kg (Economy) / 32 kg (Business)
• Maximum dimensions per piece: 158 cm (length + width + height)
Please check your ticket or booking confirmation for your exact allowance.
To avoid extra charges for excess baggage, please make sure to fit your allowed
weight into your allowed number of pieces. Any extra weight or number of pieces
will be subject to additional fees, provided there is space in the hold for your
excess baggage.
Extra Baggage
If your baggage exceeds the free allowance, extra baggage must be purchased:
Prepaid extra baggage may be purchased online, through the call center, or at
the airport; however, airport purchases are subject to higher fees.
Charges apply for:
• Excess weight
• Additional pieces
• Oversized baggage
• Fees vary by route, destination, and fare type
Purchasing extra baggage in advance is usually more economical than paying at
the airport. Excess baggage fees apply if you go over your purchased allowance.
