The following check-in options are available for passengers flying with Qantas Airways.

Online Web / Mobile Check-in

Passengers can check in online or via the Qantas App from 24 hours up to 30 minutes before domestic flight departures and up to 90 minutes before international flight departures. After completing the process, a digital boarding pass is issued, which can be used to drop off checked baggage and proceed directly to security and boarding.

Airport Counter Check-in

Domestic Flights:

Check-in Counters and Kiosks: Available for passengers who prefer to check in at the airport or need to check baggage. It's recommended to arrive at least 30 minutes before departure.

International Flights:

Check-in Counters: Open 3 hours before departure and close 1 hours prior. Passengers are advised to arrive at the airport at least 3 hours before their scheduled departure time to allow sufficient time for check-in, security screening, and other pre-flight procedures.

Qantas Airways (by Malaysia Airlines) operates from Terminal 1 at Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA).

KLIA Check-in Counters: The Malaysia Airlines Check-In counters in KLIA Terminal 1 is arranged by the airport authority based on daily conditions. These counters open 3 hours prior to the scheduled departure time and close 60 minutes before departure.

Special Services

In-Town Check-In (Hong Kong): Qantas has reintroduced its In-Town Check-In service for passengers traveling from Hong Kong to Sydney or Melbourne. This allows passengers to check in their baggage at Hong Kong or Kowloon Station before taking the Airport Express to the airport, enabling them to explore the city without luggage.

Important Considerations

Baggage Drop: Passengers with checked baggage should ensure they drop off their bags within the specified check-in times to avoid delays.

Boarding Times: Boarding gates typically close 20 minutes before departure. It's essential to arrive at the gate on time to ensure boarding.
