Passengers travelling with Nepal Airlines are permitted to carry the following:

Carry-on Baggage

Passengers are allowed to carry one piece of cabin baggage on board, subject to space and safety regulations.

• Maximum weight: up to 5 kg

• Maximum dimensions: typically 55 × 40 × 20 cm

• In addition, passengers may carry one small personal item such as a handbag, laptop bag, or camera case

• Cabin baggage must fit in the overhead bin or under the seat in front

Items exceeding the permitted size or weight may be required to be checked in.

Checked Baggage Allowance

Checked baggage allowance varies depending on travel class, route, and ticket type.

Economy Class

• 1 or 2 pieces (depending on route)

• Maximum weight per piece: usually 23 kg

Business Class

• 2 pieces

• Maximum weight per piece: usually 30 kg

Each checked bag must comply with Nepal Airlines’ size and weight limits. Oversized or overweight bags may be subject to additional charges.

Extra Baggage

Passengers who exceed their free baggage allowance may purchase extra baggage, subject to aircraft capacity.

• Charges apply for additional pieces, excess weight, or oversized baggage

• Fees vary by route, sector, and travel class

• Extra baggage is accepted only if space is available in the aircraft hold

• Pre-purchasing extra baggage (where available) may be more cost-effective than airport rates

To avoid extra charges for excess baggage, please make sure to fit your allowed weight into your allowed number of pieces. Any extra weight or number of pieces will be subject to additional fees, provided there is space in the hold for your excess baggage.
