Korean Air provides flexible cancellation and refund options, ensuring convenience
for its passengers. Below are the key points of their policy:
Cancellation Policy
By default, tickets are non-refundable, unless purchased under a refundable
fare.
Cancellation fees may apply, depending on fare rules, travel class, and timing
of cancellation.
Some promotional or discounted fares are strictly non-refundable.
Refund Policy
Refunds are generally processed to the original form of payment.
Refundable tickets may be refunded in full if cancelled within the permitted
timeframe.
Non-refundable tickets may only receive partial credit for future travel, minus
applicable fees.
In the event of flight cancellations or schedule changes by Korean Air,
passengers are entitled to a full refund or rebooking without additional
charges.
Refund requests can be submitted via Korean Air’s website, customer service
hotline, or ticketing offices.
Baggage Fees
If the airline cancels the flight:
Prepaid baggage fees will be refunded automatically by Korean Air, or the
airline may allow the credit to be applied to your new booking. You may also
request a full refund through Korean Air’s website or by contacting customer service.
If you cancel the flight:
Prepaid baggage fees are non-refundable unless you purchased a
refundable fare (which is uncommon on Korean Air) or the airline’s conditions
specifically allow refunds. In most cases, the baggage fee is forfeited when the
passenger cancels the booking.
