Iraqi Airways Baggage Allowance

Passengers travelling with Iraqi Airways are permitted to carry the following:

Carry-on Baggage

Passengers traveling with Iraqi Airways are generally allowed one piece of carry-on baggage.

• Economy Class: up to 7 kg

• Business Class: up to 10 kg

• Maximum dimensions: 55 × 40 × 20 cm

In addition, passengers may bring one small personal item such as a handbag, laptop bag, or camera case, provided it fits under the seat in front.

Checked Baggage Allowance

The checked baggage allowance depends on the route, travel class, and fare type.

Economy Class: 20 - 30 kg total (weight-based system)

Business Class: 30 - 40 kg total (weight-based system)

On some routes, a piece-based system is applied:

• 1 - 2 checked bags

• Maximum weight per piece: 23 kg

• Maximum linear dimensions per piece: 158 cm (length + width + height)

Passengers are advised to check their ticket or contact the airline for the exact allowance.

Extra Baggage

Passengers exceeding their free baggage allowance may purchase extra baggage, subject to aircraft hold capacity.

Extra baggage charges are calculated based on:

• Excess weight

• Additional pieces

• Route and destination

To avoid extra charges for excess baggage, please make sure to fit your allowed weight into your allowed number of pieces. Any extra weight or number of pieces will be subject to additional fees, provided there is space in the hold for your excess baggage.
