IndiGo Baggage Allowance

IndiGo's baggage policies vary based on travel routes and cabin classes. Passengers travelling with IndiGo are permitted to carry the following:

Baggage Allowance

Carry-on Baggage

Allowance: One cabin bag weighing up to 7 kg.

Dimensions: Maximum of 55 cm x 35 cm x 25 cm.

Personal Item: In addition to the cabin bag, passengers may carry one personal item, such as a laptop bag or handbag, weighing up to 3 kg.

Checked Baggage Allowance

Domestic Flights:

Allowance: 15 kg per passenger.

Dimensions: Total dimensions not exceeding 158 cm (L+W+H).

International Flights:

Allowance: Varies by destination, typically ranging from 20 kg to 30 kg.

Dimensions: Total dimensions not exceeding 158 cm (L+W+H).

To avoid extra charges for excess baggage, please make sure to fit your allowed weight into your allowed number of pieces. Any extra weight or number of pieces will be subject to additional fees, provided there is space in the hold for your excess baggage.

Excess Baggage

Pre-booking: Passengers can pre-book excess baggage online or through customer service up to 1 hour before domestic departures and 2 hours before international departures.

Charges: Fees vary based on route and weight. For domestic flights, the charge is typically INR 550 per kg. International rates differ by destination.

Additional Pieces

Charges at Airport: Each additional piece of baggage is charged at INR 1,000 for domestic flights and INR 2,000 for international flights.

Pre-booking: Up to two additional pieces can be pre-booked online at reduced rates.

Special Baggage

Items: Sports equipment, musical instruments, and other oversized items may incur additional charges.

Charges: For domestic flights, a flat fee of INR 2,000 applies; for international flights, the fee is INR 3,500.
