Passengers travelling with EgyptAir are permitted to carry the following:

Carry-on Baggage

• Business / First Class: 2 pieces of hand luggage, each weighing up to 8 kg, plus a personal item (e.g., handbag/laptop).

• Economy Class: 1 piece of hand luggage weighing up to 8 kg, plus a personal item.

• Maximum carry‑on dimensions are generally in line with standard international rules; exempt or restricted items (like liquids over 100 ml) must follow security screening limits.

Checked Baggage Allowance

• Business / First Class (International): 2 pieces of checked luggage, 32 kg max per piece, with total dimensions up to 158 cm each.

• Economy Class (International): 2 pieces of checked luggage, 23 kg max per piece, with total dimensions up to 158 cm each.

• Note: Exact checked baggage entitlement may vary with fare rules and route — some promotional offers include fewer pieces; always check your ticket details.

Extra Baggage

• If you exceed your free baggage allowance, additional charges apply.

• Overweight or oversize bags (over weight/size limits but accepted) and extra pieces must be paid for at the airport or through EgyptAir's sales channels; fees depend on route and weight category.

• EgyptAir requires overweight bags over 32 kg or oversized beyond 203 cm/79 inches to be repacked into acceptable units or shipped separately as cargo.

• Excess baggage acceptance is subject to space availability, and passengers should arrive earlier for check‑in when carrying extra/oversized items.

• Excess baggage fees apply if you go over your purchased allowance. Pre-purchasing extra allowance online is usually cheaper than paying at the airport.
