China Airlines Baggage Allowance

Passengers travelling with China Airlines are welcome to bring:

Carry-on Baggage

Each passenger of China Airlines in Economy Class and Premium Economy Class is allowed to carry on one bag and one personal item such as a laptop bag, handbag, or briefcase. Assistive devices and outer garments do not count as personal items. Passenger for Business Class is allowed to carry on two bags.

All carry-on luggage must fit in the overhead bin or under the seat in front of you. You must be able to lift your carry-on into the overhead storage without assistance. All carry-on bags must adhere to the following requirements:

Maximum Dimensions of Carry-on Luggage: 22 x 14 x 9 in / 56 x 36 x 23 cm (length + width + height) with maximum weight of Carry-on Luggage is 15 lb / 7 kg.

Checked Baggage Allowance

For trips outside of the Americas and the U.S. and Canadian territories:

►Economy Class : 30 kg / piece
►Premium Economy Class : 35 kg  / piece
►Business Class : 40 kg  / piece

For trips from and to the Americas and the U.S. and Canadian territories:

►Economy Class :  2 pieces for maximum 23 kg each
►Premium Economy Class : 2 pieces for maximum 28 kg each
►Business Class : 2 pieces for maximum 32 kg each

Note:
The sum of each bag's three dimensions may not exceed 62 inches (158 cm)
The sum of two bags' three dimensions may not exceed 107 inches (273 cm)

To avoid extra charges for excess baggage, please make sure to fit your allowed weight into your allowed number of pieces. Any extra weight or number of pieces will be subject to additional fees, provided there is space in the hold for your excess baggage.

Extra Baggage

If you have more baggage weight and/or pieces than your allowance, additional charges will be applied. Any baggage exceeding the checked baggage allowance shall be charged per kg, the fees started from as low as US$6.00 per kg based on zones travelling to and from. You can purchase your extra bag allowance in advance enjoy a great discount. Charges depend on your destination.

Sports Equipment
