Passengers travelling with British Airways are permitted to carry the following:

Carry-on Baggage

Economy & Premium Economy: 1 bag up to 23 kg / 51 lb (size limit: 56 x 45 x 25 cm) plus 1 personal item (handbag, laptop bag)

Business & First: 2 bags up to 32 kg / 70 lb each (size limit: 56 x 45 x 25 cm) plus 1 personal item

Note: Some routes may allow extra carry-on items (check booking details)

Checked Baggage Allowance

Economy: 1 - 2 bags, up to 23 kg / 51 lb each, depending on fare type

Premium Economy: 2 bags, up to 23 kg / 51 lb each

Business (Club World/Europe): 2 bags, up to 32 kg / 70 lb each

First Class: 3 bags, up to 32 kg / 70 lb each

Note: Some promotional or basic fares may have lower allowances

To avoid extra charges for excess baggage, please make sure to fit your allowed weight into your allowed number of pieces. Any extra weight or number of pieces will be subject to additional fees, provided there is space in the hold for your excess baggage.

Extra Baggage

Charges apply for overweight or additional bags

Max weight per bag: 32 kg / 70 lb

Max linear dimensions: 90 x 75 x 43 cm

Excess baggage fees apply if you go over your purchased allowance. Pre-purchasing extra allowance online is usually cheaper than paying at the airport.
