Passengers travelling with Air India Express are permitted to carry the following:

Carry-on Baggage

• 1 piece of cabin baggage per passenger

• Maximum weight: 7 kg

• Maximum dimensions: 55 × 35 × 25 cm

• Personal item: small handbag, laptop bag, or briefcase allowed in addition

Checked Baggage Allowance

• Economy Class: 15 kg for India-Malaysia flights (some promotional fares may have lower allowance)

• Business Class (if applicable): 20–25 kg depending on route

• Excess baggage charged if total weight exceeds allowance

• Maximum linear dimensions: 158 cm per bag (length + width + height)

• Baggage allowance may differ based on route, fare type, or special promotions. Always check your ticket for the exact allowance.

To avoid extra charges for excess baggage, please make sure to fit your allowed weight into your allowed number of pieces. Any extra weight or number of pieces will be subject to additional fees, provided there is space in the hold for your excess baggage.
