Cancellation and Refund Policy

Air Algérie provides cancellation and refund options based on the fare type purchased and the airline’s fare rules shown at booking or in the e‑ticket.

Cancellation Policy

By default, Air Algérie tickets are subject to the fare conditions printed on the ticket:

• Non‑Refundable Fares: Tickets with non‑refundable conditions do not provide a refund of the base fare. Tax and surcharge refunds may be possible where permitted.

• Refundable Fares: Tickets with refundable conditions allow a passenger to request a full refund of the ticket price and applicable taxes according to the fare rules.

• 24‑Hour Cancellation Window: Passengers can cancel within 24 hours of booking for a full refund to the original form of payment, if eligibility conditions are met under the airline’s fare rules.

• Cancellation After 24 Hours: For refundable tickets canceled after the 24‑hour window, cancellation fees apply as specified in the fare rules.

• Cancellation Before Departure: Cancellation requests must be made before the scheduled departure time to be processed and avoid possible forfeiture of benefits under the ticket’s conditions.

Passengers are advised to review the fare rules shown at booking or in the e‑ticket itinerary.

Refund Policy

Refund eligibility depends on the fare rules and cancellation circumstances:

• Refund Method: Eligible refunds are processed to the original form of payment used when booking.

• Calculation:
 - Refundable tickets are refunded in full minus any applicable cancellation fees specified in the fare rules.
 - Non‑refundable tickets may allow a refund of unused taxes and surcharges only.

• Processing Time: Refund processing time depends on the airline’s procedures and the passenger’s payment method; posting time is determined by the passenger’s financial institution.

In cases where Air Algérie cancels a flight or makes significant schedule changes, passengers are entitled to a full refund of unused portions of the ticket or rebooking on an alternative flight without penalty under the airline’s conditions.

Extra Notes

• Passengers on flights departing from EU or UK airports may have additional rights under EU Regulation EC261/2004 or similar local laws, including compensation for cancellations under certain conditions; these rights are in addition to Air Algérie’s standard refund policy and apply only where the law covers the flight.
