Passengers travelling with Air Algérie are permitted to carry the following:

Carry-on Baggage

Air Algérie passengers are permitted to bring one main cabin bag and one personal item on board.

Carry‑on Allowance:

• All classes: 1 carry‑on bag up to 10 kg on Boeing/Airbus flights.
• On ATR aircraft (regional turboprops), the carry‑on bag limit is 5 kg.

Size Limits:

• Maximum carry‑on dimensions must not exceed 55 × 35 × 25 cm (Boeing/Airbus).
• On ATR aircraft the limit is 40 × 30 × 20 cm.

Personal Item: A small personal item such as a handbag, laptop bag, or camera may be carried in addition to the main carry‑on, and must fit under the seat in front of you.

Checked Baggage Allowance

Checked baggage entitlements depend on route and fare type. The allowance is based on a weight or piece concept as shown on your ticket.

General Checked Baggage Rules:

• The maximum size for each checked bag must not exceed 158 cm (length + width + height).
• Maximum single bag weight: 32 kg for handling reasons.

Economy Class:

• Domestic Algeria: 1 bag up to 20 kg.
• International within Europe/Morocco/Tunisia/France: 1 bag up to 30 kg.
• Other international routes may use piece‑concept (e.g., 2 pieces up to 23 kg each) as specified on your ticket.

Business & First Class:

• Domestic Algeria: up to 30 kg (Business) / 40 kg (First).
• International: up to 40 kg.

Note: Some international long‑haul routes may operate under a piece concept with specified numbers of bags (e.g., 2 x 23 kg or 3 x 23 kg) printed on your ticket.

Extra Baggage

Passengers who need additional baggage allowance beyond the free limit may purchase extra baggage.

Extra baggage can be purchased:

• Online via Manage Booking on Air Algérie’s official site.
• Through Air Algérie sales offices.
• At airport check‑in counters (charges may be higher).

Baggage exceeding the permitted weight, size, or number of pieces will be subject to additional fees.
